Check-in and MEET
When you sponsor one of our residents, you help us provide all the things they need for their best lives. Sponsors get all health updates before anyone else, as well as monthly pictures or video of their resident. In addition, for special occasions, we also plan video chat calls to get to see their sponsored animal even if they are not local to the sanctuary.
To sign up, simply follow the link to our Patreon page and choose the sponsorship level you would like
(chickens $15/month, goats and horses $50/month).
Then just send us a message about who you want to sponsor!
Susie
Susie is our oldest and quite possibly sweetest.
Maggie
Maggie lives her life with gusto and full of joy and playfulness.
Clem
Clem may have magnificent large horns, but he is the most gentle guy here!
Abigail
Abigail is the youngest of the Virginia Five, and definitely the most playful!
Trudy
Trudy looks like she could indeed be Abigail’s sister,
as they look a lot alike!
Charlotte
Charlotte has been here longer than almost everyone else in the goat herd.
ROWDY
Rowdy’s personality is bigger than life and he lives up to his name!
CHICKENS
Our chickens enjoy top quality special feed and lots of produce to make their day special.

Susie is our oldest and quite possibly sweetest goat. At 16 years old, she spends most of her time resting on her favorite orthopedic bed in the Goatie Room or out on the patio. She was abandoned and left to survive on her own in winter by her owner and some kind strangers brought her to us. Because Susie takes multiple medications for her severe arthritis, we would really love to see her sponsored to help us give her everything she needs!

Maggie is one of our younger goat residents, coming to us with four others from a place of neglect and narrowly escaping with their lives. Now though, Maggie lives her life with gusto and full of joy and playfulness. She is nearly inseparable from her best friend, Abigail and the two of them excel at finding trouble. Sponsoring Maggie helps us make sure she never runs out of her favorite snack, animal crackers (as well as keeping her hooves trimmed).

Clem came to us as part of the Virginia Five, arriving terrified and thin from neglect. It has been amazing to watch him settle in as our big leader of the herd. Clem may have magnificent large horns, but he is the most gentle guy here! Like everyone else, he depends on routine hoof care and veterinary care to make sure he is as healthy as he can be, and a sponsor can help us make sure that he gets all he needs.

Abigail is the youngest of the Virginia Five, and definitely the most playful! When she arrived she was not yet full grown and underfed, so it has been a joy to watch her bloom into a bigger, healthier goat. She happily plays with everyone and is so cute with her bobbing ears when she comes running for treats. Whomever sponsors Abigail will always be entertained by her adventures!

Trudy looks like she could indeed be Abigail’s sister as they look a lot alike, although Trudy is smaller. Trudy came to us hiding a secret two years ago and surprised us when she gave birth to a baby after she had been here a few months! Trudy has survived so much in her young life, but is still the first one to leap into the air with joy and playfulness. I would love to see someone else love this girl as much as we do.

Charlotte has been here longer than almost everyone else in the goat herd. She arrived her as a youngster with her momma, Fern when we were able to give them safety after being rescued from a meat farm. Charlotte has grown up here and has always been our wild child. She is definitely one of our most adventurous goats! She would love to have a sponsorship like her mom Fern and her best friend, Arlo.

Rowdy came to us after deciding that being a therapy pony wasn’t his idea of a good time. Rowdy’s personality is bigger than life and he lives up to his name! But he is also adorable and sweet. At 24 years of age he loves his new retirement, spending his days with his new best friend, Queso. Horses need more feed than any of our residents, as well as routine hoof care every six weeks and annual dental work. Sponsorship helps offset these larger expenses, even for small guys like Rowdy.

We have too many chickens available to sponsor to list individually here but here are Eden and Edith (the brown pair) and Red and Broo (Buff Orps). Our chickens have come with a variety of stories, from being saved from an awful hoarding situation like Eden and Edith, to Sonny who was picked up by animal control as a stray in Indianapolis, to just being backyard egg layers enjoying a safe retirement like Broo and Red.
